Today India is large IT Hub from where most developed countries like USA, UK, Germany, Australia etc are buying IT services. And there are number of people or companies who provide services at different values. Most all the companies which belongs to Web Solutions are focusing mainly USA and UK. Why do we outsource or offshore? For that question one simple answer is that internet business and ecommerce is grown well in those countries and major part of localize in UK and USA is using internet. Now again question arises why in USA or UK most local people are using internet and why not in India? Is it due to eduction, habits, culture, economy what could be the reason for that and would could be the reason for US or UK citizens are using internet? It would sound strange to know India is outsourcing a lot IT services but local people are still not using the internet as good as USA or UK. So does that mean we are more in service provisioning rather than buying it or using it.
Now coming back to our question our main question we are outsourcing IT services to other countries because of some following reasons and are those reasons are really reasonable?
Currency Difference : Comparing to $ and £ Rs is not strong. On Saturday, November 29, 2008 US$1 rate is 49.575 INR and UK £1 rate is 76.210 INR. Dont we think that is the main and prior reason for the outsourcing and offshoring services. I would say ofcourse!
Mathematics and logical skills: In India we have nice education system which is designed specifically to prepare lot of governmental processes professionals. And that is why it is focusing more on maths, logic and general knowledge also. I am not sure about these are really true reasons? But it could be as surveys showed that Indians are good in Maths, science, logic and general knowledge comparing to other countries.
Work Ethics : Indians are hardworker and extremely flexible in work.
Now those three are main points for why we most Indian companies or entrepreneurs or freelancers are interested in outsourcing and offshoring. There could be so many other reasons and I expect you would give me a hand to explore those points.
